Legionella Awareness Training
Retaw Services Ltd delivers Legionella awareness training via our training and software partners L8MS. On-site training in our experience typically delivers the most interactive environment but geographical constraints, time requirements, and cost per head can make virtual and online training a very useful option.
Legionella awareness for hot and cold water systems – Certified simply by L8MS (Not Accredited). A good choice for anyone involved in delivering Legionella control measures for hot and cold water systems.

Level 2, Legionella awareness for hot and cold water systems – HABC Certified OFQUAL regulated qualification. The level 2 training is the same course as above but with external open-book assessment and certification.
Options: –
- Delivered via a remote trainer using TEAMS or similar.
- Delivered via online videos and assessed using TEAMS or similar.
Legionella Control for Responsible Persons – Certified simply by L8MS (Not Accredited). This course is most suited to individuals with management responsibility for Legionella control. More emphasis on legality and assessment but limited information on the specifics of hot & cold water systems.

Level 3, Legionella Control for Responsible Persons – HABC Certified OFQUAL regulated qualification. The level 3 training is the same course as the RP, but with external open-book assessment and certification.

- Delivered via online videos and assessed using TEAMS or similar.
The Legionella Control Association requires that Retaw Services Ltd need to tell our clients: –
- To assess the training needs and requirements of their own staff (possibly in conjunction with Retaw)
- To complete regular reviews of own staff training records (possibly in conjunction with Retaw)
- To complete regular competence assessments for specific tasks and identify further training requirements and format, e.g., theory, practical, etc.
- To determine if the content of any training offered meets the requirements.
